Welcome to the Peterborough and District Branch of the National Autistic Society.
The National Autistic Society website can be found at www.nas.org.uk
Our aim is to increase support for parents, carers, people on the spectrum, and professionals in the Peterborough and District area.
We recognise that autism and Asperger syndrome cause isolation and special difficulties, and that local provision is inadequate. We are committed to making better use of resources to help people affected by autism.
We offer a range of activities including: self-help support, information and advice, fundraising activities for existing or future projects, workshops and seminars.
It is through local centres that parents, carers, and people with autism, receive a lot of the help they need. Our free newsletter and this website are for parents, carers, relatives, professionals and volunteers. We can all benefit by sharing information and providing practical advice and support for each other.
