Supporting Adults with Autism in Peterborough
Tell Us Your ONE WISH
We have recently seen massive steps forward in national recognition of the needs of adults with autism. Over the summer many of you will have taken part in the consultation on an Adult Autism Strategy for England. And on November 12th, the Autism Act 2009 received Royal Assent and became law.
Now we need to work together to make sure that these measures make a difference for all of us at local level. To help make this happen, the NAS Peterborough Branch is taking part in the Autism Action Network, a new way that The National Autistic Society is supporting autism groups who want to improve services for people with autism in their area. And whether you are a person with autism, a parent/carer, or a professional working with autism we want to hear from you.
We want to hear about the experiences of people affected by autism in Peterborough and find out what is needed to deliver the outcomes for adults with autism that the Autism Act and the Strategy are seeking to achieve.
That’s why we are asking all of you to tell us what you think the one thing that would make the biggest difference to adults with autism and their families in Peterborough is. We will respect your confidentiality and no-one giving an opinion will be named.
We will present our findings at an event early next year. In the meantime if you would like us to keep in touch with you about the work we are doing to improve services for adults with autism in Peterborough, please complete our survey below.
Please tell us your One Wish for adults with autism in Peterborough.
It would be helpful to know how you are affected by autism, eg: person with autism, a carer, or a professional.
If you do not wish to be contacted directly please tell us, updates on the campaign will appear on this website.
